Happy New Year
I like the New Year season in Japan as I associate it to "Osoji", the great annual cleaning of the house, office, dojo when everyone collaborates to the task.
New year is also a fresh if not chilly period in Japan with bright sun, sharp and long shadows. Houses are barely insulated and unlike in the West, it is hard to escape the cold in Japan. It's like standing under a cold and envigorating cascade.
I wish we all could keep every day of 2017 the same spirit than the one on New Year, full of resolution.
So what do we need for 2017 ? Up to your decision but on my side I need to feed my focus, my physical and mental strength. I need meaning more than happiness. I want to maintain and increase a minimalistic approach of life. Saying 'no' to more things than I did in 2016.
Less everything but better few things.
Happy New Year my friends !
